Q. ARE THEY INFLATABLE?
A. No, Softub spas are of a much higher quality than their inflatable counterparts. They are made out of an extremely robust, 31 layered high-density polypropylene foam, which will stand the test of time. Softubs are however very light and portable, weighing as little as 23kg.
Q. Do they have any seats?
A. No, Softubs are designed with comfort in mind, and their freeform configuration and soft bottom allow for unlimited seating positions. Customers are always amazed by how comfortable our spas are compared to more traditional models, with hard, restricted seating.
The Softub 300 comes with a built-in Therapy Seat, positioning you in front of a strategically placed cluster of therapy jets.
Q. HOW MUCH DO THEY COST TO HEAT?
A. Softubs are the most energy efficient spa pool in the world and cost only 50 cents per day to heat; 1/4 of what some conventional spas cost to run! Water is heated using a patented heat recovery system, which uses waste heat from the motor to heat the water, meaning greater savings for you. The 31 layers of closed-cell foam acts like a giant thermos – locking in heat at a higher retention rate than most hard-sided tubs.
Q. WHERE ARE THEY MADE?
A. Softub spas are manufactured at our American headquarters, which has been successfully manufacturing spas worldwide for over 30 years.
Q. HOW HOT DO THEY GET?
A. Softub spas are set to heat up to 40°C, however can be programmed up to 41.5°C for those customers who like it a little hotter. You simply set the thermostat control to the temperature of your liking, and your Softub will automatically control the heat of the water.
Q. ARE THERE DIFFERENT COLOURS AND SIZES TO CHOOSE FROM?
A. Yes, Softub spas come in three sizes, and there is a wide variety of colours to choose from. You can check out all of the sizes and colours available in our SHOP.
Q. ARE THEY MADE FOR OUTDOORS?
A. Yes, Softub spas are some of the most robust and weather-resistant spas on the market. Softub spas are the perfect spa for the New Zealand environment and weather conditions.
Q. WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
A. Softub spas are made of a 31 layered high-density polypropylene foam, and are covered with LeatherTex, a marine-grade vinyl. LeatherTex has Mold, Mildew and UV Protection built into the material, allowing the tub to last longer than most hot tubs without fading, cracking, or peeling.
Q. WILL THE MATERIAL FADE?
A. No, not for a long time. You should see 10 plus years out of your Softub, which it twice as long as most spa pool lids/ covers. The casing of the Softub consists of LeatherTex, which is weatherproof and extremely robust, designed to withstand the elements.
Q. WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF A SOFTUB?
A. The hydrotherapy of Softub spas can be very beneficial for overall health. Softub is a reliable source in providing relief from occasional aches and pains like headaches, muscle aches, tension, and stress, to chronic conditions like diabetes, arthritis, fibromyalgia, back, knee and hip problems and poor blood circulation. Weight loss is even a win-win with hydrotherapy. Soaking in a hot tub helps open the skin’s pores to release toxins and excess water weight from your body.
Q. WHAT WATER TREATMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
A. Aside from the conventional water treatment systems that have been around for many years, there are now more natural options available that allow you to keep your water clean, clear and fresh using considerably less sanitizer. Please ask us about different treatment options.
Q. IS IT EASY TO GET IN AND OUT OF SOFTUB SPAS?
A. Yes, the wall of Softub spas was designed for sitting on, so to get in, you simply sit on the edge of the spa and swing your feet over and into the water. The flat bottom eliminates hidden obstacles and is cushioned for your comfort and safety.
